The North Shore is best known for PNC Park, Acrisure Stadium, and the Carnegie Science Center, but a growing number of people live here in the apartments along the riverfront and in the older North Side neighborhoods just behind them. Once the crowds go home, it is a neighborhood like any other, and its residents need everyday dental care.
Our Downtown office on Fifth Avenue is one river crossing away. Walk over the Roberto Clemente Bridge, or ride the T from North Side or Allegheny station to Wood Street and walk a few blocks. Drs. Nicholas and Mara Mangini are prosthodontists who handle cleanings, fillings, and crowns along with implants and dentures.
Most visits are routine: a cleaning, a small filling, a check on an old crown. But when something more complicated turns up, you should not have to start over with a new office. Because our dentists are prosthodontists, implants, bridges, and full-mouth restoration are planned and completed here.
Prosthodontists complete three years of specialty residency after dental school, and both Drs. Mangini went on to teach at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.

Digital X-rays and intraoral scanners mean less time in the chair and more accurate impressions. 3D imaging gives us a full view of bone and roots when planning implants or extractions.
With CEREC, many crowns are designed and milled in our office, so a broken tooth can often be restored the same day.
Our Downtown office opens at 8 AM and stays open until 6 PM Tuesday through Thursday, which makes it easy to fit an appointment before or after work. We accept MetLife, Cigna, Principal, and Ameritas and work with most PPO plans.
