We participate with MetLife, Cigna, Principal, and Ameritas in both our Downtown Pittsburgh and Shadyside locations. We’re committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits with our experienced team handling all the paperwork for you. If you’re out-of-network, don’t worry! We work with patients on an out-of-network basis and will submit claims on your behalf – the insurance company simply sends reimbursement directly to you. At our Shadyside location, we offer a special new patient package (including exam, CT scan, and full x-rays) for out-of-network patients. Plus, we offer flexible financing options and a membership club to make quality dental care affordable.

CareCredit Financing: We offer flexible payment plans, including a 6-month no-interest option. We also have special offers and a membership club for uninsured patients. As well, at Atlas Dental, we have Custom Payment Plans; we work with each patient during consultation to create payment arrangements that fit their specific budget and needs. Our goal is to never let cost prevent you from getting the dental care you need. We’ll find a solution that works for your situation.

You can schedule appointments online through our convenient scheduling system or call us at (412) 281-9411 for Downtown Pittsburgh or (412) 730-2560 for Shadyside. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us as much notice as possible. Some procedures may require a deposit when scheduling to reserve your time.
For dental emergencies, call our office immediately, and we’ll work to see you as quickly as possible. If you’re calling after hours, leave a detailed voicemail with your contact information, and we’ll get back to you. Don’t wait – dental emergencies like severe pain, knocked-out teeth, or broken crowns need prompt attention to prevent further complications.
Appointment length depends on your treatment. A routine cleaning typically takes about an hour, while more complex procedures like dental implants or same-day crowns can take 2-3 hours. One of the benefits of seeing prosthodontists like Drs. Nick and Mara is that we can handle most procedures in-house without referrals. We use advanced technology to complete most crowns the same day, so you won’t need multiple visits or temporary crowns.
